, the incident hasn't compromised the two-day old cease-fire between israel and hamas. it was a come mer seen on gaza and egypt where two crossings were opened again. they closed when the fighting broke out. now palestinians can once again travel to egypt. egypt's president earned high praise from the u.s. for leading cease-fire negotiations. but now he is facing a backlash from his own people for trying to expand his powers.
